Reg's Park "Jottings"

 

The Friends have published four books by local authors three by Reg Snook and one by David Miller, all book sales beneift Friends of Christchurch Park.

Portrait of a Park - A Year with the Wildlife of Christchurch Park (described by Derwent May of The Times as "very enjoyable and informative book") was published in 2011. 

Portrait of an Owl - My tales of Mabel and other owls which focuses on the Park's tawny owl of national fame. Brett Westwood, naturalist and BBC radio presenter called this "beautifully-illustrated" and "a lovely book, all the better for being anchored around an individual local 'celebrity'".

Portrait of the Birds is the final book in the Portrait trilogy celebrates 50 years of birdlife in Ipswich's Christchurch Park and was released in 2015.

Ipswich Arboretum : A History and Celebration is by David Miller. David shares his passion for this special place with a blend of history, personal and gathered memories and a superb mix of old and new photographs and drawings. (RRP £10).  Published 2014.
